Reserve your private transfer or day trip securely through our site. We cannot accept bookings by email.
We always provide a private vehicle for all trips. We don't provide shared services so you will never have to share. Your group will be the only people in the vehicle, plus the driver of course, on your transfer to Chefchaouen.
Although the Rif Mountain region in the North of Morocco is noticeably cooler than the southern regions, temperatures can still be very high between April and October, so air-conditioning is vital.
We'll pick you up directly from your hotel or chosen address, and drop you off exactly where you want us to. If your hotel is inaccessible by car (e.g. historic centre of Chefchaouen), the driver will arrive on foot.
In addition to our one-way transfers, we also offer day trips to Chefchaouen. We class a Chefchaouen day trip as transport in the same day from Tangier to Chefchaouen to Tangier, with the waiting time in Chefchaouen also included in the price. Due to Moroccan working time regulations for professional drivers, and to ensure safe working conditions, the waiting time in Chefchaouen is limited to 4 hours. Bear in mind that this is more than enough time for 99% of visitors. If you plan to spend longer than this, please book two one-way transfers.
The route from Tangier to Chefchaouen passes by a town called Tétouan, an ancient world-heritage site city. You can combine a day trip from Tangier to Chefchaouen with a stop in Tétouan. Just add it as an extra when you book!
The blue medina of Chefchaouen offers lots of hidden treasures and is not as busy as the medinas in Tangier or Fes. It's a great opportunity to try some traditional food and haggle for some Moroccan goods.
You can visit Chefchaouen's 600 year old Kasbah for 20 dirhams. There are some beautiful gardens and also excellent views from the top of the tower. Bear in mind the displays aren't in English.
Although the medina is magical, it would be a shame to miss out on the spectacular aerial views on offer from the viewing platform. Looking down on Chefchaouen, you can see far into the Moroccan countryside on a clear day.
The town began as a Moorish fortress welcoming exiles from Spain in 1471 but it was not until the latter part of the century when Jews fleeing the Spanish Inquisition came to town that Chefchaouen turned blue. The Jews were said to have introduced the tradition of painting buildings blue to remind them of God and to reflect the dazzling blue of the skies. Whatever the truth may be, the picturesque blue palette became the town’s unique identifier and transformed it into a photographer’s Eden and a travel blogger’s dream.
You can get from Tangier to Chefchaouen in under 2 hours 30 minutes with our private transport service in Morocco.
